Is that a 4" cargo strap under there? Looks like it would work!

Mandy
yes maam thats what it be i have been using these for 14 years plus  i normally  make them  to slide over the dogs heads that way they get hung up or fall of the  quad, truck theres a good chance they will get lose and i havent had a pose through yet!!!!

i was bored last night  so i made it a leather punch soilder gun and trot line string  part of a old lead plus some old collar parts
and a hot glue gun to hold things in palce til they were sewn and about a hour  thats what i came up with
 thank you

Here is a leather one I made a few days ago, haven't had it tested by any bad hogs yet, we'll see how it works. I know I couldn't take a good knife through it with one stab.

Chris made me a leather one just like that one. Of course he also made me a pink ostrich model with the tracking collar already built in. Since I don't hunt buck and lizzie on the ground at the same time, that pink one gets used on both dogs. I just love it.

thesquealisreal
this thread wasnt started as an as but as a what can you build  for pennies

We got the last roll of strapping from Mcoy's after it broke strapping down a load of  lumber
the buckels came off oldworn out collars  the strapping came from old leads

anyone can buy a store brand collar from multiple of dealers
i am talking about hillbillie redneck make do with what you have on hand
just to past the time away

better than sitting around scratching your nuts while watching the tube  laugh

 Dexter
BTW  the  second collar i bought  the buckles for .99 and the D rings for .79
so its kind of cheap past time other than sitting on your arse doing nadda
 toddles
 me again

Dexter- My collars are made of 1000 denier nylon and wrapped in a ripstop sleeve and then I got the eyelets from my mommas sewing kit and used zipties to hold it all together! I made one with a couple old belts for the buckles but it ain't as pretty as these came out so it is a spare collar.  I have had quite a few guys on the Hawaii board and friends that I run with ask for one but due to each collar being fit to a certain dog I haven't gone down that road yet! I only did these for me because I didn't like the way a 4'' looked and a 5'' was a lil to long so I made these at 4 1/2''.
