I agree if you put a rack on the back with the wall toward the front, it would be hard to have another Adult ride back there

I dont have the time to take pics but i just bought a koplin rear folding rack that holds 3 dogs but fits off the back so you can have guests still ride on the back, for me its on top of a big duckhunter bag i keep stuff in.

On the front i bolted two holders made for extra gas cans or small coolers that acts as a game rack, i put down some rubber and a chain and it works for a bulldog when needed as well. Dogs love the water out of the cooler i love the beer.

I was building one myself and I have the rack built but have not yet decided on how to attache it to the rack. Any ideas are very welcomed.

If the factory rack is steel, 4 U-bolts will hold it well.
If it's like Polaris(plastic) you'll need a large strap/plate below the plastic to run bolts through.
That way you have steel on top and bottom, with the plastic rack sandwiched between them.

I have already considered padding the seat side of the rack for back/side cushion for riders as the rack can bump and bang you around if terrain gets rough.
I like the rear load for couple reasons:
1 - keeps the dogs off my seat and from tearing it up with their claws
2 - the dogs want to be as close to the front as possible, so it makes a nice barrier to keep them from trying to get in my lap  Tongue
As far as passengers go, an adult can ride on the back of the rack and it's not too heavy or off balance for the four wheeler.
I will let my buddy drive sometimes and i'll ride with the bulldog on the back rack, actually not a bad ride.  And my younger sons likes riding on the rack lol, guess it's that 'riding in the back of the truck' concept.

Yes i'll get more pics tonight  and show you all angles.  Also show how easy mine is to attach/detach from the existing rear rack.

PS - the guy that built this for me actually does Steel buildings on a large scale, but said that if i had people that wanted these racks, it would be something for him to do between jobs or if he had a guy or 2 with some down time and could make them.  And it gives him something to do with scrap.  Would just have to see how much he'd charge.

All my hunting buddies have one like this. They work really good. Mine is slid back where it is not on the seat. It holds four big dogs with no problem. It has angle iron clips on the front that hook in the rack and two pins in the back that go through the box and the rack. I can take it off in less than 30 seconds.
