setting around bored this evening decided to go hunting called all my pals. NOONE WANTS TO GO HUNTIN?Huh? so bout nine i loaded my three strike dogs up and headed to the woods.( no catch dog cause i culled him for trying to kill my best strike dog over one of my females) got to the woods about 930 and cut loose. before i could get everything ready my walker/cat male opened up and he dont open on track. he does however trash occasionally so i didnt think nothing of it til my female walker/cat and my bmc started in baying with him. so i checked the garmin they were at a little over six hundred yards. so i finished getting everything ready and headed that way. bout 200 yds out the bay broke and made a circle bout 400 yds round me and headed straight for the dreadful switchcane (i hate this place its just too thick) bout 900 yds from me the dogs bay again so i head that way. i get bout 20 feet from the bay and cant see anything so i ease in and hear what sounds like a dozer coming straight at me and there he is, a fairly decent sized boar that apparently dont know im there cause he ran by bout 5 feet from me. the dogs stop him again  bout twenty yards away. My dogs have never been very gritty at all so im planning on shooting the hog at first decent chance so i get to the bay standing bout ten feet from the hog and can still barely see him. then all of a sudden my female who is never the one to put teeth on a hog runs up and grabs a back leg and my other two males run in and grab the ears. at this point im stunned my bay dogs that are not gritty on a 100 pound sow just caught this good boar. so i run in and leg him, tie him, and the rest of the story is in my cattle trailer right now.  i had fun BY MYSELF.  i think my dogs just kind of knew that i didnt have a catch dog though. kinda crazy!!! didnt get any pics cause i was by myself but i appreciate ya' ll reading this.  I think this boar is gonna go around 150-175#  im gonna sale him in the morning then i will know for sure.

Good story. Nothing like a switch cane thicket and a surprise from your dogs to make things a little more interesting.  Shocked lol

Good hunt. I hate to see that switch cane myself. Dogs are smarter than we think. They took care of their owner:)
