Paul,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I know he had the best life that any hunting dog could have. Any catch dog that dies of old age is truly a testament to their owner. You have kept more dogs alive than any two people combined on this board thanks to your good advise. You should be proud that you have accomplished something that we all wish that we could do, lay a good one to rest due to old age and not an under-protected train wreck. R.I.P. Jasper....
