Good hunt Saturday morning! Blue is makin a hand

Took the dogs out early Saturday morning. First drop produced nothing so we picked up the dogs and moved. My little blue dog took a track from the road and after a while of watching him on the garmin he got bayed a pretty good piece in. I was doubting him because my old trusty dog went about 600yds with him and came back in. He kept going and was bayed around 1000 yds or so from the road.

We started to him and eventually the old dog went to him. the pig broke once for about 200 yds but they shut it down. we were about 200 yds from them in a wheat field and Joe cut his catch dog bella and her pup (10 mos) loose. you could barely hear the dogs baying over the wind and the bulldogs went the wrong freakin way. we kept heading in the direction of the bay and about 40 yds from the edge of the wheat out came the hog with a little blue ear ring and big yellow one. Just then Joes bulldog pup passes me and catches like he had been doing it for years. This is his first hog that wasnt staged.

Im really proud of my little blue dog. he is making a hell of a hand. And proud of joes little catch dog pup too. I have a litter mate to him and they have been naturals.

Thats 3 weekends in a row for blue to step up and be the ace in the whole!  Glad to see him stay so hot and be so dang consistant! love it, Did the pup beat bella there to catch?

bella never made it to the hog. we picked her up on the way back the truck. she was off hunting or dicking around.

Yea paul we need to break down and go this wkend or next.....its been to long. Blue is not even my dog but i am so proud of the ugly s.o.b.

De i think that is b/c for the longest (until hunter got some nuts) as long as blue was with ben the hogs had a horible day! Still that way now except it can be any pair of our dogs lately.

All I know is if his yellow son is as good s him i will steal him from you!
