Don't have any proof Grin Forgot the camera at the house

Well I went out to the sugarcane fields out in port myaca tonight. The cane is real short so the hogs arent in there thick yet. So I decided to hunt a block of woods that butts up to a management area on one side and the cane fields on the other side.

Turned out Bella and my pup Gringo who has never been in the woods and only seen a hog one time. He stayed with Bella, nose to the ground the whole time. After about 45 minutes of walking and not getting on anything we started to head back towards the truck. On the way back Bella starts working a track trying to figure it out, but she wouldn't take it. We were almost back to the truck and I hear her bayed in the area she was working the track.

So we headed that way and didn't hear anything. Finally hear a couple of barks a couple hundred yards away, and then nothing, then a couple more barks. Then she crossed the gator infested canal into the management area. We had to go down about a 1/2 mile to get to the crossing then all the way back. Then we heard nothing again.

Pulled out the tracking unit, had the gain maxed out and was barely getting a signal. So we headed that way. Walked about a mile and could hear her and Gringo baying. Got close and cut Doc loose and he sealed the deal.

Was a boar hog about 230 with about 3 on one side and the other side broke off. We barred him and let him go since we were so far from the truck.

My dogs, especially my pup made me real proud tonight!!

No, I probably would have just cut his head off and left him for the buzzards.  Afro

That it was on dupuis, there is some studs in that place. That where they always head to when they break.

There is gators every size in this canal, you shine the spotlight from the top of the dike and you can count 100 of em.
