I received the book for Christmas, and as a matter of fact just last night started diving into it.  I've heard others on this forum talk about it.

It's an excellent book. It's all written in the direct words of the people that the author interviewed... so there is plenty of colorful language. The importance of dogs in these peoples' lives is apparent. You'll enjoy it.

For a Florida Boy pick up "A Land Remembered" By Patrick D. Smith if you have never read it. It is similar but Fl Cracker style. A real good read!

I was told that The Big Thicket Legacy is no longer in print.  The copy I was given for Christmas was purchased off Ebay.  Not sure if it's new or used, but if used you can't tell.

I got my copy of Big THicket Legacy from barnes and nobel in the mall. They had a copy on the shelf. The book is an awsome read. I especially loved it when i found out that my family has some history in the book! Shocked
