Well we made another go after a big hog yesterday and ended up getting lucky with 2 of them.. Van Dorn, Ethan, Eddie, Marshall Mims and myself all went.. The first big hog had been rooting up a local hay field just off of Highway 45 in New Waverly. We turned out Boogie and PArvo to go find him.. they made a couple big loops and came up empty.. We went down and were checking a feeder when both dogs opened up about 100 yards in lol the highway noise was soo bad we could barely hear them bayed.. thinking this was the big hog Eric and Eddie sent all 3 bull dogs lol ended up only being a 140# boar hog..

once we got him out and loaded up we looked at the Garmin and they were 1.8 miles to the North bayed right off of HWY 75.. we cut through a place and made our way down the high way down a mile to them. We got in there and they turned 2 bulldogs loose.. Obama and Boogie caught a blonde sow, while Bill(other CD) and PArvo rolled on another 100 yards amd had one squealing.. Well Ethan and I get in there and see Boogie and Bill caught on this good barr( Parvo had already rolled on out)... this big boy went 310!!!

We loaded up the dogs and went across HWY 45 to another track of land.. aka death valley and the runners Smiley 20 minutes in Roscoe bays up in a pine plantation, Roxxy and Fawn get there and they're soon all hammering. We turn Obama loose and this boar hog tosses him around and rolls on out.. Well we know where they"re headed so we try and get in front of them only half succeeding as Roxxy and Roscoe roll on into a place we didnt have permission to hunt. We gave the guy a call and he had no problem at all, meeting us at the gate and giving us a key. Roxxy and Roscoe have been bayed for an hour or so and have a nice rally going! Obama runs in a luckily grabs a big barr amongst the sows and shoats.. 2 pigs later we catch the dogs and call it a nice day! We've been on a nice run ofbig hogs lately and its been an awesome last few weeks... Enjoy!!

Does the dog need a teleprompter to tell him to catch the hog?

Kidding. You should know that naming the dog Obama there would be some cheap shots  Grin

Ha thanks Chris... But I can't take any of the credit, hog hunters are only as good as the dogs they're hunting behind and Ive been fortunate to hunt behind some great ones!! And honestly it's just alot of luck, we're in an area that's thick and lots of hogs get cut!! Increasing our chances of catching the big one...

Clints' has van dorn and I beat by 8#'s on biggest hog so far and he's Definitely been reminding me that lol We've gotta a few more giants walking around that should take care of the 'big hog contest' if we can just get the stars aligned again

Marshall caught a good boar this weeked!! But it's been awhile on a true Monster, so he's do and I expect him to deliver upon it soon.. Hopefully no more stitching Marshall up though, you gotta watch him.. Sometimes he's catching before the CD does lol
