That's a good lookin' pup!

What are you looking to get out of that cross? Aren't those German's pretty rough on hogs?

I got a Drathaar, from Kervinshoff Kennels, that I am going to cross one of my curs over.  She is a wired haired dog, but their standards and breeding program set them way apart from any other bird dog breed, in fact they are considered a versatile hunting breed.  She found pigs first time I ever took her to the woods and probaly the smartest dog that I have ever owned.

Good looking pup. I also have a german shorthair that I plan to try to hunt hogs with, he is only a pup now. I guess we'll see how he turns out.

I bred my Sally gyp once upon a time to a full blooded german short hair that came out of Kansas. I kept one solid black female named Nig and she was one of the best I'd seen. I sold her to some guys for 2K gave um a trial for two weeks. They called me in about 4 days and said go ahead and cash the check. She did get rough as she got alittle older. (wished I'd kept her)

that is a good looking pup. Please keep updates on their progress. Just curious, was the female hunted or what was your requirements for the gyp. Just trying to learn. I know about your dogs and have heard alot of good things about the parker curs.
