Well a couple of weekends ago me and three of my other buddies went on a weekend fishing trip down in the land cut south of Baffin bay.  We rented a floating cabin down one of the channels and cleaned up.  to tell you the truth we kind of got tired of fishing.  We fished at night under the green lights on the cabin and it was just like scooping trout out of a barrel.  It was unbelievable seeing the shrimp popping out of the water and the trout chasing them as well as the sea gulls, which by the way i cought three of them also.  Long story short we cought wellover 100 fish probably pretty close to 200 and brought only about 65 home.  i got a link to the album on photobucket for some pics and two videos.  one of the videos shows the fish at night with the shrimp popping and the seagulls working.  the other is of a redfish that i cought.  Three best fish were a 28" red, 31" red and a 26" trout,  all three cought within an hour in the same spot.  well here it is.   enjoy

Thats a good mess!  I used to wade Baffin quite a bit in the early spring, but haven't been down there in a few years.  Don't get much further south than Corpus Christi Bay these days.

I've always wanted to rent a cabin like that.  How did you go about the rental?  Was it someone you knew?

PM me if you like.  bdavis@vvm.com

Thanks

Hey Bryant i just found this guys info on a fishing forum that i look at.  Saw some other peoples pics they posted of their trips and we decided to give it a try.  We paid 500 for 48 hours in the cabin.  Friday at noon till sunday noon  but he was real flexible with the hours since noone was booked before or after us.  Anyways we had a great time and unbelievable fishing. any ways here is a link to his website.
