Wanted to hunt this morning but most of my buddies had plans and couldnt go. So I called a guy thats always wanting to go and told him 7am. Well, he didnt show so I loaded Britany, June, Dman and my 5 mo old pup Luke. Turned out and they were bayed on this boar before i had the 4 wheeler unloaded.

I knew I couldnt tie him in that creek so I called dogs out and made him break, good practice for the pup anyway. He made it about 100 yards before they bayed him again

Turned Bubba loose and he caught him...got him tied.

Luke and the hog   (180 lbs)

By the time i got him loaded the garmin said all the dogs were about 2 miles away. And they were across the river. Of course. Drove around, Briany and June were bayed on a group, called them out and went to find Dman and the pup, they had made it back to where I turned out. Not a bad solo run   Grin

Good hog Micheal, how is Dman these days?  The pup looks good and he has some good teachers!

Matt he can still hunt but his back leg just flops. Slowed him down but he's still got the want to so I take him along. That luke pup is the littermate to yours.

You sound like me with hunting. It seems that when I want to go hunting they all hav ball games and practice, but when they want to hunt they wait till the last min and ask knowing i cant go. it suks goin by yourself when you cant use atvs where i hunt, you hav to get there by boat most of the time b/c its to far to walk and then there aint no telln how far your pigs are from the boat. i'm buyn a horse just for that reason, when i want to go then I go, the H#$L with the others.
