Everyone was at work so I said to myself why not go hunting. So I loaded the boat up put dogs Slick and Max into the truck and headed out . No catch dog. I figured if I couldnt catch the hog I would call them out. I had a gun with me just in case I got into a bind. Got to the bayou and put the boat in loaded dogs into the boat and headed down the bayou . When I got to the spot I wanted to hunt I turned dogs loose in front of the boat drove on down the bayou .Never hit on anything so I rode on down to a spot I have hit hogs before as soon as I started to get close the dogs started going crazy. So I banked up and they were off .Didn't take long to bay up .So I headed to them. They weren't to far from the boat around 200yrds away when I got there I saw a group of hogs nothing to big when the dogs saw me Slick caught a sow about a hundred pounds. The hogs broke and Max left after them. I caught the sow knifed her and Slick took off  to Max who had a sow bayed up about fifty yrds away when slick got there  he started baying as soon he saw me coming in he caught. I run in and grabbed a back leg and flipped the sow and I tied her  grabbed the dogs and tied them up then I just sat down to rested up a little. When I got up I turn the sow back loose .I headed back to the boat put dogs in and went to drag the hog back .The hundred pound hog felt like three hundred by the time I got to the boat.but in all still a great time. Funny how they gain weight after you start dragging isn't it?

I went duck hunting over near LA and this man had life preservers on his labs. I thought it was pretty funny so I asked if his dogs could swim. He said it was just in case a gator was out. Said a gator grabs the dog and holds it underwater. So when the gator would pull the dog down they would be hard to hold down and he would have a chance to shoot the gator if it did not give up first. Lucky it is cold for duck season but his dogs had a couple small scars.
