I hunt around that area.Your going to give away our hunting spots if you tell them where they are in the national forest. I saw a little red pig ran over this morning coming out of josephs lease going towards apple springs.

Davy Crockett national forest isn't a type 2. We are always running dogs on and around it. It's open to the public year round for all types of hunting. You can only ride horses or walk. No atvs or anything like that. I haven't been told we couldn't hunt it.

We have pretty good luck. We are getting to have more educated hogs that don't want to stop. Alot of guys hunt it around here, but you have to know where to turn loose at there is alot of land to hunt and keeping track of the hogs is getting harder.

i live on fsr 527 and all the hogs i have gotten on out there are what i like to call two bark hogs.  The dogs bark two times and the hogs never check up. And there is alot of land so finding the hogs isn't real easy. Only hunted here for a few months but starting to slowly find them. Im always looking to take someone with me or so with someone if anyone wants to go. Have my own fourwheeler and dogs.
