jumped up at 6 30 in the morning got on the quad and headed for the forest . about half an hour in the hunt everything was quite nothing was around so i headed up to my second property. went in there and went around and there was nothing in there so we got out of there and headed home. on the way home my mate michael was lookin out into a paddock and i seen this pig run out in front of us i drove to the spot he run out and let my dog off and we got him about 100 metres in the forest. i gave my knife to michael and said here you are you can stick it and he did it was the first pig he has got with me he didnt do a bad job on the sticking either the pig died nearly straight after it was stuck. we were taking pictures of this guy and i looked up the road and seen a big pig run out i was a bit bummed about that cause we could of got it but oh well one was good enough . here are some pics

thanks mate,  he has never been outrun he is way to quick i know usually bigger dogs are quicker but not this guy he is like a greyhound when he was 6 months old i had him beside my car and he was running 60 kilometers thats 40 miles he aint quite that fast no more he only runs about 55 kilometers but thats still about 10 or 15 k faster than any pig Grin. and about getting cut or ripped as its known over here he has only been cut by two pigs one was a 110lb boar with good hooks and the other was a 175lb boar with even better hooks Grin they both got him about 3 times under his chin so it was nothing serious.  the worst thing that happened to him was when our little tiny dogs tried to attck a kangaroo and he went to save them he jumped in a dam with it and the kangaroo got him bad my dad ran in and saved my dog i wasnt with him but when he came back with my dog i said is he gunna live? he had rips up both shoulders and both were about 10 inches long by 5 inches wide and the cuts went right to the bone and he also had puncture holes in his ribs but he pulled out of it i just took real good care of him and he was fine . just a note guys kangaroos have a way to attract dogs it takes alot of training to stop them from attacking roos so if anyone over there comes over here becareful of them cause there more dangerous then pigs some people over here call them mini bears. he is 3/4 staffy and 1/4 bullmastiff there the only dogs i work with there smart have a good nose and will bail big hogs till i get there and tell him to hold i rather them 1/2 staffy and 1/2 bullmastiff but this one ive got now is good. and yea roos are pretty bad they have really strong legs and there hands have long sharp claws and they bear hug the dog if it tries to get it.

Staffy as in Staffordshire??    So you've got a Staff and Mastiff cross?  HOW is that gonna run a fast hog down?
Obviously you're getting it done on a few hogs, just giving you chit Grin  BTW, I had an Aussie run me over in Colorado(long story) and I still tend to get a little "testy" with Assies.... I mean Aussies Wink

The Kiwi's I've met are all, a nice bunch.   Much more pleasant than any "Aussie"  I've been around.

Truthfully, I believe "Aussies" are more like "Americans" than  Americans are even willing to realize.  The same, arrogant, ignorance that alienates those that are not "like" us.

Sorry for the rant Pilli, I've had a few bad experiences with a few Aussies and I realize it doesn't represent you all.

roo's have a special tactic if dogs are after em. they'll head for water (sometimes) then when the dogs come in after em they hold em under and drown em. their harmless to people but if they start gettin too tame they'll give humans a good kick in the guts if you get too close.

mate hes a quick dog he has run down many fast hogs he hasnt missed a pig yet the times i have come back empty handed is because he has had the pig a fair way in the forest and i couldnt find him he always comes back with blood on him .  and mate i know what aussies are like im one of them lol  we do tend to get angry pretty quick sometimes but ive never met many arrogant aussies we can be ignorant at times but everybody is lol.  but yea man dont worry about the rant its quite funny the hole time i was reading it i was laughing i can take a good joke there is no harm done in that rant but you are telling the truth  more and more aussies are trying to be american .
