Hello everyone,

We just received some information tonight from some family members up in Central Texas area.  The town that my mother lives in is having a Hog Dogs trading days on May 8 in Rosebud Texas, 76570. This town is located 35 miles of Waco on Hyway 77.  According to the information that I have there are going to have hog dogs, hogs, and everything else that goes with all kinds of hunting.  The contact number for this is 254-583-4050 and the person to talk to is Miles Shaunfield.  What I hear it is going to be a pretty good thing.

Just passing on the information to anyone that would like to maybe set up a booth or go shopping.

Thanks,

Robin and Robert Borden

I Google mapped it and it is 35 miles (South) of Waco. I thought it was pretty funny being 35 miles of Waco. No website but they are going to try to have it the first Saturday of each month 8:00 AM til Noon. This is the first one and it is the second Saturday but the future ones will be the first Saturday.

I want to apologize for those that went to Rosebud for the Trade days.  This is the first time they have ever done anything like that, they are hoping to get the word out in order for it to grow into something special. I think if they will advertise it better they will get vendors out to that area. We would have gone to it ourselves but hubby has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his legs so we are pretty well stuck close to the house.

It takes awhile to get a buzz going about a new event, if they stick with it and we all try to create some excitement folks will show up.   "If you build it, they will come." Ha ha

i had planned to go and bring my two pups to try and sell/barter, but with track regionals monday and tues, getting back at 1am on wed, THEN starting spring football on wed in the middle of the day, continuing till after school, wed, thur and fri....i was beat. plus what i am asking for the pups doesn't make it real cost effective to drive from humble to rosebud....if i still got the pups next time ya'll have it i may say screw the cost effectiveness and make the trip....i would stick with it if i were ya'll..give it time to grow.
