As some of you that have hunted with me know, I have a tendency to take vehicles in places they were never intended to be. In doing that I have been stuck a time or two

Here's a little gap that got me a few weeks ago in Waller county. It wasn't getting stuck that bothered me so much...it was being pulled out by a Polaris that really hurt Grin

Let's see some of y'alls pics....

We really should have stopped to get photos of that Ranger hanging off the bridge, upside down, by its front wheel...It was a scary sight for sure.

If I am not mistaken, there was a certain amount of embarrassment and a plea for anonymity taken into consideration. The proprietor of said event may have snapped a personal keep sake after we had it secured with chains and winches though.

I was wondering what happened to the pics of that day, somewhere there is a pic of my ranger contest weekend BURRIED with Clay pulling me out.  My cousin got a 6 month old rhino stuck in a dry creek bed our deer lease in west Texas.  He was alone and coming back the following weekend so he just walked back to his truck and left it there.  During the week a storm blew up and it rained 7" in about an hour and half and when he showed up the following weekend all you could see was the top of the roll bar haha.  We later dug it out and it was a total loss.  That fine red clay was in EVERYTHING and due to some undescovered phenomanon nearly all of the wiring was gone!  The air intake was level full of mud and when he tore the motor apart the cylinder it self was full of mud.  That really fine clay/sand had found its way into every place it could.  I wish I had pics of it, it was comical and depressing at the same time  Cool

I can't argue with that.... about 10mph more and I would not have any complaints. Nothing like having to get out on an FM road and travel several  miles getting to the dogs, maxed out at 25mph, while Matt and Clay are zipping past on their hot rod UTVs.

Hey Chris,

I really like that pic of yours where you some how near completely submerged a 4-wheeler in a tank.  That's another one of your "good ones".  I remember you've posted it in the past...

That's probably the only time I've ever seen that particular Rhino sitting still.

Josh,

I am pretty sure this is the pic you are talking about....  This was taken at our place in Leon County. The following morning Mandi and I met Matt and Mike at a place I have off Hwy 7 for a hunt. It was 17 degrees out, and I just about could not unload my fourwheeler. I loaded it up while wet, and set the parking brake.  Overnight everything froze solid, and I spent some time trying to get the brakes loose so I could unload the wheeler.  Then 10 minutes into the hunt we had a decent boar bayed in a creek!

You and I and all of the rest of us Barrs knew that was a no win situation. No matter the contest result, we were not getting any cookies without sacrificing the nookie!  Sad
