Someone called it. When my 5 year old boy saw the dogs baying and said one day I am going to kill a hog I posted it here. Someone said he would claim my best dogs. I just got a catch dog Saturday. She is an AB/Dogo and a very sweet dog. Before we got home he was talking about the dog like it was his. Sunday he just flat said it was his dog! He did not have shoes on and the dog stepped on his foot and the nails hurt him. But he said "it is OK if my dog steps on me." There it goes, he just became my full time hunting buddy.

guys im the same way i always pick the good dogs or trade for great ones. my dad gets pissed when i do that but now i have the best set i have had in a long time all i have is two strike dogs and one catch dog.

Got to love them little kiddos...every time we get a new dog our grandson claims them. So far he has three of our new dogs, which are all sweet dogs.

happened to me that way too. now I not only have a hunting buddy, I've got a dog feeding/kennel cleaning buddy. He takes care of his own, and I love it. He even got after me on day for cleaning his dogs kennel. " You picked up Blue's poop?  I DO THAT!!" |

That is awesome, but wait until the dog claims him. My granddaughter and her dog are best buddies and don't make her scream or you will have a mad little cur after you. There is nothing more rewarding than when your hunting partner is your child or grandchild.

Thats funny, i got a bmc out of good bloodline about 2 years ago. Told my son Casen(who was 6 at the time) no matter what this was his dog. Well turns out ol Presley is one of the best dogs i have in my kennel now. He even outstrikes old Luke from time to time. Them kiddos can sure pick em out!
