If you are serious, WOW!!!!!!!!

You can not have multiple sires for the same pup.  ONE DAM X ONE SIRE

yes each pup can only be from one or the other sire...when choosing the dogs to breed in my case 2 pure bulldogs but wanted to throw in a hound or cur.i would be able to tell wich were wich..you see if you threw in another  bull breed you may not be able to tell without dna test who is your daddy so it would have to be a completly difefent breed/type.

One sperm meets one egg.  There is no way they can be mixed.  There would be some wierd creatures running around if this was the case.  WAIT...there are Grin  and Im not talking about wild animals

i cant say much on split litters i hade it happen once but it was not on purpose
from what i have read and from what i have been told when it happens  there are two horns one on each side if  you have two dads one impregnates the left and one the right. im no vet but that’s what i have been told

And for the ladies on Montros  I know and have hunted with some you would be amazed how fast they can run in heals and how good a shot they can be  Wink

This is still not the case.  Just a little repro lesson, not to be mean or to make anyone mad.  Only one ovary ovulates at a time and in litter bearing species (hog, dog, ect) the ovary has many more follicles which release eggs than in a one or two offspring animal.  This process of multiple follicles releasing eggs is mimiced when a high producing cow is flushed.  In the process, hormones are given to superovulate the cow that would maybe normally only drop a couple eggs now forms many follicles and drops maybe in the vicinity of 20.  These eggs are fertilized and then flushed out seven days later.  This same process of split flushes can be done, but in the end is more trouble because the embryos or calves out of this kind of flush would then have to be DNA tested to make sure which mating it truely is.  Doesnt hurt to learn a little every now an then now does it.

what if the pup looks exactly like the mother--dna testing would be the only 100% way to determine the father...wouldn't it?

i was a inturn at the local vet way back when i was in high scoo. my family use to breed beagles and the neighbor had a weenie dog. when we had 3 beagles and 4 weener dog-beagle mixes i asked him wtf. he said the dam drops maybe 6-8 eggs and it may take several breedings to fertalize all the eggs.... so the ole weener slipped in and there ya have it. Grin Grin he also explained that only some small pecetage of sperm contains the baby batter the others are like little warriors to fight off the sperm of another male, to give every male dog that breeds some sort of a chance of having offspring... so it is posible to have more than 2 sires over a litter. this is just what i was told, he seemed to know all about it or he lied perty good.

Correct.  You can have multiple sires to a litter but each pup can only be sired by one male and the female.  No mixing of sires.

I have split several litters. I will check the female daily and when she is in standing heat I will breed her the next day to dog #1, second day dog #2, third day Dog #2 again. Not saying this is the best way just what has worked for me in the past. I would like to hear how others have done this as well.
