Well here in oklahoma the weather changes about every other day..one day its freezing the next its burning up...so im just wondering what vest would you guys recomend for them hott summer days? Is there any certain vest made to keep the cd cool?

From my experience if it's hot out a dog is going to get hot fast but what I have heard and never tried because we don't hunt in the heat of the day is to soak your vest in cool water before gearing your dogs up. Just something I heard you might give it a shot.

That sounds like good advice, I try to hunt my more cautious as well and get real close to the bay, I dont always vest either even though i should...I am thinking of trying some of the aussie breast plates this summer?

I have been looking at the breast plates too. But I pour water on dogs during the day. I have a wading pool in the yard. It get plain hot here. So you have to watch dogs.

i dont put a vest on my cd during the summertime till my dogs are bayed up...ill take her out the box vest her up and lead her in and soon as the hog is caught i take it off....try not to keep a vest on her at all times
