if your curs are for bay dogs a bit of dane might make them a bit hard and start to hang. they seem to be a bit slow to mature but absolute crackers when going. check out the thread called freight train catch dog, he is a dane cross. other than that they would probably give you a bit of extra leg too.

i read a bit about those plotts, i dont mind them either but the bmc's look pretty cool. that brindle gyp is pretty hard and i havent seen any pigs get the better of her yet.

Good lookin pup. I got a couple of questions on how you all hunt down there. The land that you all hunt is it public or private? What is the terrian like and has anyone tried running a pack of dogs on the ground or is it too much land to cover?

its all private where i hunt but down south you can get permission to go into state forests. where i am its rivers choked with rubbervine and rough basalt country in between. hounds are probably a bit too cold nosed for around here for the amount of pigs around here i just need a couple of good hot to medium nosed dogs. i think the noise from a pack of hounds would probably push them too far also because it gets warm around here.
