Won a Galveston bay fishing tournament yesterday.  Fished the tourny with a buddy that I met at the TDHA Hunt For The Hungry, Chris Barrett (on the board here as Barrett).  Chris is a hell of a fisherman.  I weighed in 2 redfish for a total weight of 16.54 ounces, good enough for 1st place and $1,800.  Through some controversal measuring, one of Chris's fish was deemed 1/64 over length and unelidgable.  Chris would have won.

Over the last two TDHA tournaments, I have established two solid friendships.  So thanks to the tournament, good things have happened because of it.

Yea it sucked pretty bad !! But to answer Mikes question their are a group of people that are Certified thru the Tournament Directors Foundation of Texas as certified weghmasters ... We are deemed to up hold TPWD rules as far as how we measure fish for tournaments and the Old Timers get pretty down to the nitty gritty when it comes to that.. He said my fish was over and I have to live with it but he was measuring the fish the wrong way because the TPWD rules state that you must measure the fish flat on its side and gain the Max Lenght out of it not in a homemade cradle thats not approved by TPWD and a correct means of measuring fish.. Ok i am off my soap box !! LOL !!! Had a blast anyways !! You can`t win`em all !!!

And before it is asked I am a Certified WeighMaster also .... Grin
