Does anyone know how much it'd cost me to ship a pup from houston to south georgia?

Go to uship.com and post your info and you can get several bids.  I got a few bids to send a dog from here to Tennessee a while back and most were in the $400 range.  I would guess South Georgia would be close to the same.

Man thats more than the pup is being sold for. you think they would charge me less cuz its a pup(smaller)?

I just got my walker dog shipped to Athens, TN for 350. I think they charge $250 for pups.

look for southfork dog transportation.

You have a greyhound track right there by Houston.  There are probably a dozen (at least) guys who just haul dogs to and from that racetrack.  There are dogs being delivered from Florida and the east coast to your local dog track all the time.  Contact someone at the track & find out if they have a list of dog haulers.  There's no reason to spend $350 or 400 dollars, these guys will haul a dog for $100 or less.  We have about 5 dog haulers we deal with on almost a weekly basis.  I don't know if any of them travel to the Houston area, but I can certainly find out.  Before you spend that much hard earned money, at least check into the greyhound haulers, though.
