I’d like to introduce the newest addition to the family and the start of my pack! Her name is “Bailey” and she is a Cat x AB, I got her from Wilsons Kennels; she is 4 months old, and full of piss and vinegar! We just went on her first hog hunt/ airboat ride and she did very well! She didn’t like the squealing all that much but once it was dead she sniffed and licked! I was happy enough with that. She also did well on her first airboat ride wanting to be right up in the front of it and I was way surprised by that, most dogs are scared their first run but she did well! The dog other dog in the pic is “Blue” my buddies Blue nosed pit, it was his first hunt with no other dogs! I was really impressed with him he has come a long way from the tail tucker he used to be! All and all it was a great night 110 lb sow and a lot of firsts!

The squealing is what my pups love. Good luck with her.

WOW! Shocked I didn't realize there was so many guys from FL on here lol! this is Great! I'm always looking for hunting partners around here i'm new to the sport so new people are always great! I have never hunted oak hills. I have hunted off of lake jessup with a buddy and his dogs and that's about it. I'm just starting my pack and I hope to get it off on the right foot.

I would be glad to take a weekend and run some dogs with you in Oak Hills if you would let me tag along! that and Polk County I hunted off of Thomas Landing on the Kissimee chain of lakes but with no luck ever but of course we were on an airboat so...  Undecided

I am from PA but we almost moved down to Ocala area.  Does anyone hog hunt the Ocala National Forest? Seems like alot of public land to hunt.  I was told Yankees like me have alot of trouble getting permission.

The Bears outnumber hogs there about 10 to 1.
