they didnt give me anything and wanted to keep me 24 hours but i didnt stay copper heads arnt a big deal this was my 3rd bite from one and 1st time to go to the hospital

copper head bit me on the heal ...... foot got alittle sore ....i was alot more soar aboutthe dam er bill .....i judt sitthere for about 2 hours then went home with one shot about 1500 bucks .....

Have any of yall been bit by a cotton mouth or known anyone who has? I was curious how those make you feel (dont want to find out anytime soon, just curious ) When I was stationed at Ft. Bragg I was an instructor at the Special Forces Acadamy I was laying in a swamp with the candidates waiting for it to get dark and rolled over on a big Cotton Mouth, it bit me in the middle of the back three times, it took 4 hrs to get me to the hospital, by that time it was to late for anti-venin. The Doc told me if I was going to die I would have already died. Your question was how sick would you get? I am here to tell you for about 10-12 hrs I was more sick than I have ever been and I have had Malaria and disentary. The pain in my muscles was unbareable not to mention a nasty scar on my back that resembled a dead tree. You dont want to be bitten by a cotton mouth!!! |

I got bit on the ankle by a cotton mouth when I was about 16. I was out hunting when I was supposed to be at school so I didn't tell my parents until 2 days later when my foot swole up so big it looked like a bowling ball. I still have the scar and will remember the pain forever.. I can only imagine what it would have been like if he would have bitten me 3 times..
