Well I spent all day yesterday nursin an upset stomach, but at 830pm my buddy called and said he was drivin down the hwy next to a cornfield that another buddies grandpa farms and said saw a big boar about 180-200lbs crossin a cut hay field headin towards the corn field.  He immedialtly called our other buddy and came to my house to load dogs.  With pancho cut down right now we lose a lot of grit from our pack, we loaded our other 5 dogs amy, tweety, sunny, montana, and charge and headed for the long 5 min trip to the field.  We dropped about 100yds from corn field and had the perfect southeast wind blowin out of field.   We had walked about 20 yds and saw amy take his track and the rest of pack tucked in tight behind her and there were movin!!  We hadn't walked another 10-15 yds and had him bayed.  He ended up breakin about 40 yds and they caught him what looked to be one of his beds.  All I could hear were dogs barkin, fightin, and yelpin.  Got in their got him legged and stuck.  200lbs my A*$!! We estimated him to go 250-275 with 2 3/4" teeth.  Ended up cuttin 3 out of 5 dogs.  Luckily we got to them quick or he could of done real damage to the dogs.  Waitin on pics to be emailed to me, will post as soon as I get them.  Dogs are fine just will be out of comission for about 3 wks.  Charge has a hole in his cheek towards the back of his jaw the size of a quarter or bigger, never had one like that not sure how that will heal up but we'll see. Heres a couple pics of his head, i have more thats gonna be emailed to me that are of his whole body on tailgate.  will post those as soon as i get them.

Good one. A chance to go hunting always seems to get a man feeling better.

Good job guys, sorry to here about your dogs. As far as the chin cuts and holes , they will heal great just keep the wound open so it will drain. We have had plenty of those kind of cuts.
