Is it small? 40 or 45lb?

No telling what is in him, but if you put the picture in black and white, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between him and a Lacy. He has the correct conformation, stands tall on the balls his feet almost cat like, short tight coat, correct head shape, correct ears, blazing yellow eyes..... If he weren't so dark red, I could mistake him for one of mine.

he is small I would say 40-45lbs. I thought he might be a lacy but wasn't real sure since I have never owned one just seen a few pics on this site.

As pointed out, it could be a Lacy or it could be a mutt. What really matters is.... Does he hunt?

Tell me the resemblance aint keen though...

If you keep him, you should name him "Santa's Little Helper". Use Santa as his kennel name.  Then you can tell your buddies everytime you catch a hog with him that Santa stopped that hog for you.  Just saying!

Lol!! Don't know if I will keep him since he had the collar on when he showed up, but the closest house that I know about is about 4 miles down the road. Going to go by there tomorrow and see if they know who's dog it might be. Poor thing had tons of ticks all over him. Give him a bath in dawn clears it right up.

Looks just like my Lacy except mines blue. Never seen a Weimaraner that color before but I did look up the breed and they also were bred for Hog Doggin.

Sure looks like a Lacy dog to me but I agree about the color being off. Probably a F1 cross! Grin Show him a hog from the rig floor and if he bails out the V door to get to em then bring him home Dustin! Afro

LOL laugh
If it wasn't for all these pines over here I could probably see some. Sure wish we were back over in Jewett where I could spot them out for him. Then all I would need is a catchdog that would follow his lead.
