Thanks for the learning and hospitality putting up with a greenhorn.

Took Mandi bmc I got from tcoots and Star AB/dogo from the uglydog line over to see how they would go.  Mandi bays right in the hogs face. She is ready to run in the woods. The boar was my guess a little over a hundred pounds and no ears. Ushog would know better. But Star was interested but was unsure. She put her mouth on him but did not catch. So ushog said to try smaller hogs and build up. So now I am looking for a couple hogs 30-40 & 60-80 pounds to bring Star up slowly and teach her to catch the ear. But I did not take pics this time. I will take pics when she is catching the ear.

Oh yeah, I brought my six year old Wyatt along. He is ready to kill one and cook it up. I also found out I can hold a hog with my stupid brace on my wrist. But Wyatt is learning to stand behind a tree for now. That boy is going to be my hunting buddy. He is going to be real gritty!

I am glad you both had fun and we will have to do it again. You have a wonderful son that seems very interested in catching hogs and two great dogs. I wish little Joe had been here for them to play together.

Dub since you are only a 30 minutes from our ranch you need to go hunting with us soon before the crops are harvested. Let me know

Thank you everyone for the kind comments

Another plus up for Joe. He's give you the shirt off his back... if he ever bothered to wear one.

Wyatt has been telling everyone about Joe, Rose, and and some lady like mommy "I do not remember her name." He talks about kicking the hog. He asked for a gun to shoot hogs right in front of my mother-in-law. She about had a Hart attack. She already doesn't like me so I said he would have to catch it and stick it!

I need to run the dogs all I can so just say when and I will be there.
