Harry Bodel,

Hard guy to describe....his word is as good as any man I have ever known, he's not afraid of anything, cept maybe a bigfoot with beautiful hair  Afro
When the dogs are bayed on an island, in a pond full of green scum, and gators, he's the guy that's already neck deep, halfway across while you are still thinking about it. He's the type that has your back, no matter what kind of jam you have gotten yourself into...and I am proud to say he is my friend.

BTW, he goes by Boarbuster67 on ETHD.

I kinda like him too    BUT today he told me he was gonna beat the crap outa me next time he sees me   Wink    real good dude tho.

Bryant,

Just put on a wig of beautiful hair, you are big and ugly enough that he might mistake you for bigfoot when he comes to beat you up.

Havasu falls is awesome. The grand canyon is cool, but havasu falls is a must see. It is a 10 mile hike or the indians will take you in on ponies. Definite must see.

The only place I have been out west was in new mexico, it a scout ranch called Philmont. Was there for two weeks hiking and camping. Beautiful country up there and one of these days when the kids get big enough I definatly plan on going somewhere out there again.

Alot of these places will be at the top of my list.

It's going to be hard to choose where to go matt, I wouldn't know where to start. I hope you have a long vacation planned

Hollar at Kevin O. if you go to Durango.  He used to live there.  Jackson Hole is nice.  I have always liked going to New Mexico.

Matt - I lived in Durango, Colorado for 5 years while going to College.  It was more like 5 years of vacation than schooling.  Plenty of things to do in the summer.  Float the river, take the train to Silverton, Hike trails and fish for brook trout along the trail, drink good micro brews...etc.  That's just the things I enjoyed and their are plenty more. LOL!  I really enjoyed the beer more than anything.  Grin

You could go to Yellowstone then drive over to Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Just some ideas  Grin

PM me and I can look up the exact trails I used to hike and fish.

Lake Katherine NM.

Alpine lake sitting at close to 12,000' above sea level. No roads to get in only foot trails.... You won't see another soul there.  Chrystal clear water. Absolute serenity.

It looks like the lower range has been covered pretty well but if you plan on going as far as Montana and Idaho let me know Matt. Its a heck of a drive but you will leave the Summer time crowds behind for the most part. The fishing, hiking, and history are hard to beat and the elevation is not so high that you will need an oxygen tank in your pack. The drive for me is half the fun unless I am hauling stock.
