Well, my wife and I made the long drive out to Flatonia at 3:00 this morning for a daylight hunt. We met Matt, Clay, Chris and Mandi and headed to the ranch. We hunted about an hour with no luck... then the ranch foreman showed up and took us to the back where they bed up. Dogs struck as soon as we got back there and ended up with a good boar hog. This was Angel's first hog after a few previous dry runs. Grin

It was starting to warm up so we headed to another section of the ranch across a county road. As soon as we dumped the dogs, they struck on a creek bed and ended up with a nice sow.

Thanks again Chris and Mandi for the invite... as always we had a great time! Grin

Thanks again Chris and Mandi, I had a great time as always.  I was real happy that Angel was able to get to see the "exciting part" of hunting with dogs  Grin.  Anytime you can see beutiful country and have great weather with your amigos it's a good day and the hogs just add that extra little bit of fun.  It sure is nice getting to turn out with the temps below 65 again  Cool!!!!!!

I guessed him around 225#... he's real long and pretty healthy. He have been more... i'm a pretty conservative guesser. Grin

We pretty much ALWAYS have fun, huh guys? Well, on hot days when we get skunked it may be LESS fun, but I know I always have a great time. Glad we got on some good ones, I'm sure we left a hog or two for next time. This fall-ish weather really has me excited about hunting again!
