Well I took Star out to put her on a hog with ushog, I sent out Mandy (BMC), Jasper (Cat), and Uno (English Pointer). Joe's little puppy went too. Uno has never even seen a hog. Within minutes the chase was on and soon Mandy, Jasper, and puppy had a little pig bayed, less than fifty pounds (Uno was not sure what was going on). I brought Star within 20-30 feet and released her. She went around the brush and by the time she got there the pig had broke with the three dog close behind. I grabbed Star and followed. This time I brought her within ten feet of the bay and released her. All the build up and interest with a nice small pig and she just stood there looking around. My heart just fell so hard I thought it could not get worse. But just seconds later she ran away from the bay. The disappointment and broken heart just got worse. But then I saw the pigs running with Star on their heels! I lost sight of Star in the trees and I heard Joe say she has a pig. I had to ask, do you mean Star has a pig? Joe said yes, she has a pig all by herself. I could not run fast enough and every tree was in my way. I got to the pond and Star was in the water holding the pig by the ear! I was so happy I wanted to cry! I thought about just jumping in and hugging my dog. But she was busy. I think she stood up on the water and yelled "I am daughter of Zeus and no pig gets by me!"
To go from such disappointment to so happy was incredible. It appears she just backs off from the other dogs. When another dog got to Star and the pig she backed off. I can work with that. How many people would work to train a dog to go get another pig! She is like well y'all have that pig. I guess I will go get my own! Do not hate her because she is beautiful, just because she is a star.

Just to be clear she needs to go to the bay and work with other dogs. I am Just glad she can catch on her own. Now I want her to own the hogs. But I know what to work on and she is a hunter. So she is a keeper.
