A buddy of mine has three dogs one runs loose and I think is fed kibbles and bits the other two in kennels let them out and all three were grazing like cows?  They are being fed diamond matiance. Always hheard they do this when their stomach is upset.  Any ideas.  My dogs are on the same stuff and never see them eat grass or not but just a little

The dog is an omnivore and in the past as a scavenger would settle on grass if meat wasn't available. If the dog is careful about chewing it's grass it is less likely to throw it back up which is caused by the grass "tickling" the insides of the dogs stomach. I googled it about a year back when some one told me that a dog only eats grass if it is sick or has worms and my dog was perfectly healthy and almost drowning in wormer! I guess she just liked salad with her kibble!

I have heard lots of reasons for this. The on that makes sense to me is that dogs used to eat rabbits, squirrels, mice and things like that. All of those animals eat grass, and so did the dog when it ate the critter.  So that became part of the diet.
