I picked up a 6 month old BMC from Neal (eastx) that wasnt working out around the house.
She hadnt been started at all before i got her. Since i have had her, she had only seen one other hog and the other curs already had it caught before she got there. We went out last night and had the kemmer strike a small group, and as we were heading to them, we see Molly run in front of us chasing a little 30# pig. We took off after her, because we didnt have a catchdog around hoping we could catch it. I was chasing them on the 4wheeler, and my buddy was chasing them on foot. He almost caught it but he slipped and fell right as he got to it. Luckily one of the other bmc's showed back up and caught it. Even though she really didnt know what was going on, i was sure proud of her!

Yeah, i figured i would go ahead and take her along on some of the hunts and get her used to the woods.
She shows good potential, except when she goes off by herself and gets lost, which has happened quite a bit  Cheesy Luckily both the hogs she has seen so far have only been around 30#, nothing that could rough her up too bad. The pig she was chasing, i think she wanted to play with it more than she wanted to catch it.  Grin But once the other cur caught it she went to baying and biting at it.

Thanks for all the comments, hopefully there will be many more hogs to come with her.

If she didn't know what was going on but something compelled her to get after that hog anyway, I would say that its deffinately bred in to her.  Wink
