With the many things that can go wrong on a hunt, I think that this is a risk that we all face each time that we go hunting. I also think that the risk is part of why we love to do it. I sure hope that he heals up fast with little or no pain.

I am the father to Wateverworks, I showed his mother, so when something crazy happens she can't say she didn't know there was a risk.  He is 16 and has hunted with dogs for 12 yrs with me.  There is no fool proofing all what goes on in the woods, just try to make the right choices in those moments when you only have tenths of seconds to react.  Be safe fellow hunters!

My prayers are with him, I hope this doesnt make him not want to go out on a hunt again.

My dad does not like me going on hunts without him, he said and I quote "who will save you if something happens" he is 73 and still thinks hes super man. It is true though, one can never be sure of what can happen on a hunt. It is dangerous in many ways.
