Went out with a buddy and Neal (ETHD- eastx) monday night at around 8:30. Festus took out and found this boar and we had him caught and hobbled by 8:45. We finally got him loaded in the trailer and went back out to see if we could get on another. Like almost everytime, once we got back to the truck and ready to leave, Festus opened up again. I had already took the CD off of the 4wheeler to load him up and he took off. We headed right after him but it was REALLY thick where they were. It got quiet for a split second and we hear the CD making the craziest noises. The hog ends up breaking and they loose it in the thicket. We get back to the truck and all the dogs show back up except the CD. We finally call him back, and he had 2 good cuts on his stomach and side. Luckily he still had his collar and vest on or it could have been worse. He will be out for a while but should be good as new. My new pup Molly that found her first hog not too long ago ( and has only seen 2 previous hogs) was on him baying like a champ, and Neals dog finally barked at one!! lol

Its a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700. The tires are only 28" Swamplites. I was looking at that earlier how the 4wheeler looked so much bigger, cameras can do some weird things sometimes.

What he didn't tell you is that while we were out tryin to find another one I ran a layed over tree through the A arms, through the plastic, past my leg ont he quad.  It was stukk and we had to spend 40 minutes getting that durn thang out.  These guys are great hog hunters, great teachers, they are a real credit to this sport.  Good to hear the Meathead is gonna heal up, maybe by the time the baby is here and my back is healed up a little better, he'll be ready to go get that sob that cut him up, who knows maybe Copper will put his mouth on one this time.  Hell I'm happy to see him gettin the idea.
