For all the people that didnt hunt this touranemt, You didnt miss out .
We weighed in around 10:20 this morning with 240,200,and one another around 110.
And the Main guy that ran this tournemnt said someone called yesterday and said somebody gave the big hog to use , which first was wrongfully untrue, and then he said we could weigh it in and the Second of all he said the big hog wasent in eatible condition because we drug it out with the utv and the leg was brused NOT ROTTEN AND DIDNT STINK.
What pissed me off the most we had the contest won!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO FOR EVERYBODY THAT CRIED AND WINED ABOUT IT AND GOT US DQ'ED, Ill see you next year, fair and square like allways.

we entered and my dad warned us that some under the table stuff could happen.  Guess someone should have told you that also.  I beleive the winning heaviest three was 55?, which is more than straight up 550, you would have been second.  We ended up with 187, 160, and 71, weighed in about 11:30 this morning.  Not saying anyone cheated or didn't cheat, just understand anything can happen when someone puts something like that together.  Without having someone nuetral riding with each team anything is possible, we could have trapped ours and turned each one out and had the dogs chew them a little and kill them then weigh them in.  Just not sure bashing is the right thing, I've seen all kinds of sporting events that I thought were slanted one way or the other, take it and move on, if you don't like it don't enter again.

I hunted the tournament in Victoria which is friends with the guy putting on "doing it doggy style". I saw the turn out and who won and what the hogs looked like, lets just say FRIENDS goes along way in this world. I hunt every tournament I know about but refused to hunt this one due to the whole FRIEND thing.

I guess you can always find something to argue about.  Wateverworks had the only boars that I saw weigh in that had the testicles removed, with surrounding tissue 2 or 3 lbs.  He didn't bitch, just recognized next time he needed to leave more in the hog when gutting it.  his were gutted from the throat to the exit hole, the boys that won had only split open to the breast plate, and while weighing they were asked to remove more innerts.  Watereverworks were clean like going to the market, because I told him you don't want a reason to be DQ'd, do it right.  Watereverworks and his little bro and two friends hunted hard, they have no ATV, all the country they hunt is still to wet to drive, they walked and carried them out losing valuable hunting time, so maybe equal the playing field and allow no ATV or provide for all that enter, I don't know how you could equal it up without a big cost to the contest.  Happy hunting to all.

Hey, Miller Lite, didn't give much thought to the dog end of it.  Wateverworks and his buddies hunted one night with 8 dogs and the following night with 7 dogs, how many were others hunting with?Huh?  Maybe that is another variable that should be included, only 6 or 8 dogs start and finish the contest(same dogs).  I know in the early 90's when I was hunting alot I had as many as 26 dogs and could have swapped out packs and had fresh dogs out all the time.  I know by Sunday midnight these boys and 8 dogs were worn out, they hunted Friday night for 8 hrs straight and started Sat. night at 9:00 pm and hunted til 7:00 am Sunday.  When they unloaded dogs at the house Sunday morning the dogs could barely walk.  A hood dog would be nice for this type of hunting, hit many locations without burning so much dog energy.  The eight dogs they hunted with cost them about $350, fortunately some good people have handed them some descent dogs to get started hunting with.  I was happy for them, they have had a good run this grain season for first year hunters(on their own).  Happy hunting!

Ur right saltflats a hood dog would of been good for them if it would of been dry but they had to walk cause it was to wet . but even thow them dogs are tiered if they smell or wind hogs they should go out and give em a run.

I think everyone should have to use the same dogs too.  That is only fair.    Cheesy

Let's just make it where everyone can stand on the first place winners cirlce.   That way no one gets their feelings hurt.

I'm not bitching about any of it, just stating that someone is always going to be disatisfied with the results.  My boy(Wateverworks) and the other boys that hunted with him were no doubt disappointed in the results, but it was no one's fault that their dogs didn't stop their third good boar that was bayed and broke never to be stopped again.  They recognize they probably don't have the best dogs in the world, the do recognize they are experiencing something that others aren't and they are enjoying the heck out of it.  I feel certain that if there isn't a conflict with another contest in the future wateverworks will probably give it another try.  In no way am I saying it is or can be equal(socialist) nor do I agree that it can be, just simply stating that someone is always going to be disatified with the results and there are many different opinions on how to make it so that in the end everyone leaves satisfied.  Just like any competition someone is always dissatisfied with rules and officiating.  Hunt and be happy.
