Here is a Euro that Mandi and I had done.

As to why he is a trophy to me...  This is the very first hog that Mandi and I caught using only our dogs on the hunt. We had always hunted with friends and a mixed pack. On this hunt it was up to our dogs to get it done from start to finish, and they did a fine job of taking care of business.  We no longer have any of the dogs from our original pack, a couple were sold, and a couple are dead, but I will not forget any of them or the fun we had catching our first solo hog with them.

Only hog I have shoulder mounted was Ole Four Fingers.  A hog that Mike, Matt, Clay, and I caught in Fort Bend county a couple years ago.

Its odd, but I only have two hogs mounted, and neither has the biggest teeth of hogs I have caught.

The black hog bottomed out a 300 lb scale with his head still on the ground so I am not sure what he weighed. He was taken back in 1994 and the taxidermist didn't do that good of a job. His nose is flat and shiny and it just isn't that good of a job to me. But at that time, that was the biggest hog I had caught so I had him mounted.

The blue hog came off the ranch I managed for years. I was trying to get more blue hogs on the place so we didn't cut most blue boars. Dixie bayed this blue boar after I knew the place was going to be sold so I took him so I would have a good blue mount. This was back about 2003. Different taxidermist and this guy did a good job. Again, I didn't weigh this hog so not sure what he weighed but he was big and rank!

And I DO trash occasionally....  Grin  And yes this is a Fla deer. I took this deer back in 1999. It was a 160 lb 8 point that netted 133 2/8.  You just have to know where to look for big deer in Fla! Two years later I took a 9 point out of the same place that weighed 202 lbs.

Where is the one big buck still walking around???  I may have to go see him this fall... Grin

Yep this buck and the 202 lb one came out of a river swamp. I don't deer hunt much, but when I do I am looking for something like this.

The Texas guys have all the good deer hunting! Shocked

That man wont let no one on his place.  hates hogs but wont let you run dogs cause they "scare" off the deer.  Dont hunt deer cause he likes to watch them  Angry  but hes got some damn good ones walking around there...And its 5 minutes from the airport and two from a major shoppin plaza..Go figure
