Man, I hate that she's gone... hard to lose a good one that you've raised from a puppy.
I'm sorry for y'all's loss.

Sorry to hear you lost Sandy, Clay. I remember the first time I seen her as a pup over at your place. She was a good dog bud.

Clay and Stacy,
Sorry to hear about y'all losing Sandy. Having raised her from a pup kind of compounds the loss. If there is any consolation, at least y'all tried your best to save her, and did not give up on her. She will be missed in the woods.

Clay and Stacy,
Very sorry to hear about Sandy. You did all you could, and you should be commended for giving as much as you did. I don't think just anyone would have tried so hard, and she was lucky to have you as her owners. She probably realized that. Good dog.

Shawn,
What happened to Sandy is at this point a veterinary mystery. Clay or Stacy can correct me if I am wrong, but I think this all started about 2 months ago when she all of a sudden got a small sore on her back that became a huge non healing wound. The vets thought it was a chemical burn. I'm pretty sure once it got healed up that Sandy just started going down hill fast - refusing to eat, etc. Lots of $$ spent at the vets with no real diagnosis, and they have been force feeding the dog for some time now.
