Some of you younger guy ask why don't people help you when you are getting into hunting!!
Well here is your answer!!
I seen a post on here about a guy trying to get a good dog but did not have any money to buy one!!
So I pm'ed him and tell him I got a young dog that has bayed a hog and cow a few times the dog has a chip knocked off his hip from a horse kick!!If he wanted the dog to come get him and try him if he does not make it do away with him!!!
Pretty simple!!
Well I get a phone call and a guy ask me did I know this guy of coarse not!!He said he got a dog off my place out of my dogs and was trying to sale him as a finished cow dog for a $1000!!
I ask what his name was on ETHD he told me!!Then yes I do know him the guy would not KNOW a finished cow dog if it slapped him in the face!!
He has since then text me saying he sure could use some more of my dogs would like to get a gyp!!
Ya'll I got to say if I don't sale my dogs you sure ain't!!
He gets on here all the time trying to trade someone out of something!!
Some people just don't have any morals!!

My understanding whenever anyone gives me anything is that if I don't want it, it goes back to whoever gave it to me unless they tell me they don't want it back. I had a cat cow dog for a while that was a good dog, just never could get him to call off of cows ( my ignorance, not his fault) so I gave him back to the guy who gave him to me. He promptly shot the dog because he didn't want him and didn't want the his bloodline circulating the country. Made me feel bad for giving him back.

Chance, that is pretty low down.....I should just put these two gyp pups from you on the dog trade for $10,000 each and we can split it  but really, you don't have to worry bout that with these two. |

I haven't been on here a year yet and I've seen dogs go from the dog trade to craigs list more than once already. Asked for pics one time to make sure and was the same CD for more $$ on craigslist. Though it might be the same person but it didn't sound like it on the phone.

The dog has not had time to be a cow dog I don't think he has been exposed!!If you ain't got enough money to buy a dog you probally don't own a cow to work a dog!! It just burn my butt!!$1000 what the heck!!
The guy that called me was really nice even new the dogs name!!
Heck I feel sorry for soeone if they buy that dog!!
The dog could have made it if some one would have put some time into him but not in that short of time!!

Chance it its not just the young people, but I feel like alot more of the young ones are brought up believing its okay to treat people that way and never have been taught any consequences and just don't have a clue between wrong and right. They are clueless why anybody would be upset with them.
Alot of people don't understand why I am so pesimestic about people. Here is just another example - A few years back, some people I knew were hunting together, got on a hog the hog broke and crossed he fence and bayed a few hundred yards on the neighbors across the road in a tank, long story short, the guys stopped at the fence, yelling and calling to try and get dogs back, then gun shots and alot of them, several guys opened fire on the dogs, killing a few and maiming others.
I felt bad for one of the guys lost his two best dogs, Thomas and I decided to give him a real nice upcoming dog thatwas finding hogs to help them out. The guys seemed to appreciate it and gave us a few updates on the dog finding hogs. several months later, Thomas calls me from a baying, to tell me he saw this dog and it belongs to someone else.
He confronted the guy that had the dog and said "thats my dog" the guy said it was his bought and paid for, Thomas and him talked and sure enough he bough the dog along with a long story about the dogs background. Anyway he said he sure did like the dog and was real proud of him. I was proud for the guy to have the dog too at that point, but it sure made my blood boil knowing he made a good penny off that free dog we put time and effort into that would not have been a "give away" had it been not trying to help someone out.

put it this way, we bought a dog from him, that probly was somebodies cowdog, cause if he bayed hogs like he bunched cattle I would have had a cracker jack.
