OUCH, you need to take him to the vet so they can sow it shut.  That is the only thing I can tell you about that.  Good hog though, you think the hog took his eye or some cactus?

Damn boy....thats the wrong answer. Prepare for the flaming. An eye can be a serious issue. Properly caring for a dog is a big part of hunting and hopefully it is something Richard can handle.  He is definetly need some antibiotics and pain medication on hand. Save some money or prostitute yourself....but dont let a dog go unattended. ....and get a haircut

that aint right. if you cant afford a vet you need to get rid of your dogs.... or find a way to take care of them when needed.

i know a guy that wont hunt unless he has the $ for an emergency... that is a responsible dog owner. i personaly can get it on credit but not everyone has that option. being prepred is being a responsible hunter/handeler. hope it works out for you.

My first strike dog lost an eye like that. take care of him right and he'll serve well with one eye.

Heck, I know a man that actually prefers "one eyed " dogs over two, says it makes em concentrate on the hog more...
