I don’t get tattoos and why folks get them but I do find some of them interesting on some folks…………..sometimes.
On a well needed get a way about 12 years ago, my wife and I were hanging out on 6th street in Austin TX. She kept threatening all day about getting a tattoo so I called her bluff.
We ended up in this place called “no crybabies” looking at all the tattoo art on the walls.
My wife started talking to this young gothic looking gal that worked there, quizzing her about how painful tattooing was.
The gal said that she had a few tattoos in some very sensitive places and they didn’t bother her a bit. When my wife asked……”can I see?” it got my full attention.
Without hesitation the girl undid her jeans and yanked them down to her knees in front of everybody!
Really! She could have cared less!
She had a tattoo of a Texas Bluebonnet flower that appeared to grow right out of her unmentionables!!!
It was a rare moment when I didn’t have any words at all! All I could do was act uninterested and turned to look at the art on the wall.
It left a lasting impression to say the least. As ugly as that poor gal was, I think about her every Spring.
