Sunday morning my two buddies Nick and Rooster decided to try and get on a big boar that I have been getting pictures of. Let me remind you that I havent been on a hog in about 2 months and was starting to get that itch. We checked out the are that we thought he may have been in and no luck. Of course it looked like we was going to have another dry run. We went down to the creek and no luck their so we just started riding the wheelers around to let the dogs see if they would get on something. We went to one part of our lease that had never been dogged before. I didnt know if we were wasting our time or what. We got to the dead end and chilled for about 5 minutes and we heard Nicks plott open up. Sweet sound. She was on a run. Then his dog Red opened up and then we heard some squealin. We knew it wasnt to big but really didnt care. I would estimate it at 50 lbs. Hey Ill take that any day of the week. I aint picky when it comes to pig sizes at all. Our dogs did real good in the heat. Ill take a 50 lb'er over a dry run anyday. The pic aint that good. It was taking off my cell.

Thanks guys. We dont get catch many hogs. Not that we dont hunt cause we sure hunt hard almost every weekend but all we have is a few spots to go. Not many ranches or agricultural fields around our area. Just a lot of pine trees.

Glad y'all got one! Well I finally got permission from clay to run dogs on his place at the Duncan bottom where Carlee's pa cuts hay. Guess the traps weren't doing any good since they didn't catch not a single one.

Yea thats a good spot to hunt. I have only really been in their one time with Chad. We caught about a 140 lb boar in their. Yea those pigs will get trap shy. I know cause at our lease its hard as heck to get one to go into a pen.
