LET MY TWO 8 MONTH OLD PLOTT/CAT PUPS IN THE PEN WITH MY OLD GYP LAST NIGHT. IT WAS THEIR FIRST TIME SEEIN A HOG! IT TOOK THEM A MIN OR TWO TO FIGURE IT OUT BUT WHEN THEY DID THE LITTLE ONE WENT IN AND CAUGHT WHILE THE OTHER ONE BAYED. WE TOOK MY OLD DOG OUT AND THEY STILL DID REALLY WELL, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE HOGS WERE QUITE A BIT BIGGER THAN THEM. LOL MY QUESTION IS HOW SHOULD I PROCEED WITH THERE TRAINING? KEEP THEM IN THE PEN A FEW MORE TIMES OR START TAKEN EM HUNTIN? I DONT WANT TO RUIN THEM CAUSE I THINK THAT THEY WILL MAKE SOME DOGS. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

I would show them the hog in the pen again a few more times till they were at least 10-12 months old.. If they do good and depending on their maturity level I would then start taking them to the woods and feeding them hog tracks..
