Went riding around trying to scout some hogs and did just that. Around 7:00 p.m. we spotted a calf or what we thought to be 1 on a place we've never ran before. Called my bud Austin and asked if he could call the land owner, he called me back and said the land owner gave the go ahead. Jody and i rushed to the house to load up the dogs where Tyler and Austin met us. We loaded cd (molly), sd (Bandit, Nyla, and Sadie), Austin also brought a young started bulldog. We drove back to the location where we had seen the boar dropped the dogs and within seconds had a good bay in a thick briar patch. We eased within 20 yrds. i sent my finished bulldog Molly and Austin sent his young dog in as a back up. Within seconds that had caught, we rushed in just in time to see Austin's bulldog (Kilo) go flying through the air. Molly was locked down on the hogs ear as Kilo made his way back to the boar. As we attempted to leg em he bolted towards a small creek with bulldogs hanging in tow. Finally, they shut him down in the slough where we had a chance to stick em. Afterwards, Kilo had had enough in the end the hog was just to much he began biting the hog every where, not locking down like he should have. Although, this was the first time kilo had ever been to the woods so Austin had to admire that he at least gave an effort in trying to catch the hog. After we had dispatched the hog we went back to Austin's house loaded the fourwheeler and drug the hog out. We brought the hog back to Austin's where he was scored. SCORED BY: GOT2CATCHEM Richard we appreciate you scoring the hog for us and for all the help thanks again bud. He scored 808.26 his tusk was 4in. on one side and tha other was 3 3/8in. these are tha dogs that caught him. p.s. dont try to weigh a 450 lb. hog on a 440 lb. scale this is the result.
