We hunted on mules.I think thats the only good way to hunt the red river..

no boarninja, that hunt will be the second weekend of Oct.  8-10th.

donna, he may be able to keep up with me walkin but not runnin to bay.  This "fat a$$" can move when he wants to i just choose not to.   Grin  Figured them younguns  could get to the bay alot faster than us older folk ya know.  Grin

we hunted saturday night and caught 2 , sow 140 and boar 180 we took rough dogs didnt take long, lots of hogs and hunters . we were north of whitesborro off 377

heck ya thats my neck of the woods Grin i live about 15 minutes from burk. problem is the only thing north of burk is oklahoma because they are right on the river!!!

Was kinda afraid of that.  But were told there's a 600-800yds of brush before they hit the river so hopefully we can shut em down before they get there.

ya i'm just playing. there is plenty of farm land/ hunting land and the river bottom itself is pretty good sized. yall should have some luck

Brandon, this is mark. We are hunting about 5 different deerleases along the red river. I was up there 3 weeks ago and couldn't believe how thick the saltcedars, rivercane, and wild plums are, it is some thick cover. Thd hogs ard thick too. Thd guy that invited all of us up there killed 7 hogs this past weekend with a gun. Its gonna be a good trip.

Also, all the deerhunters have been feeding corn now for about a month. One lease we put out 8 feeders 3 wks ago, this past wknd, 3 of those were torn down by the hogs.

M bennett, most of our dogs have have grit, wouldn't call them catchdogs but they don't mind catchin.  So hopefully we'll be successful.
