I meet up with andy (ancuegar) in cotulla for a afternoon hunt. On our first drop Jefe and Twister ran a small hog down and caught him in middle of the road. Good way to start off the hunt. On our second drop I let Tripp and Brisco out, and before we could get back in the truck Brisco spotted some more small hogs in the road. After a long race the hogs won, oh well! After we watered up the dogs we headed to another tank were we dropped Jefe, Tripp and Brisco. They cut out way from the tank and into the wind. Just after they hit the brush Tripp,Brisco, and Jefe opened up. Then the hog decided to head for his bed about 1000 yrds away in a white brush thicket. The road ended about 100yrds from the bay and we could tell it was a good hog. So i cut Duke lose from the truck and eased in behind him. To my surprise I never heard a squeal or grunt. So I knew we had a good one on our hands. Sure enough I finally got to the bay and saw we had a good boar with some good teeth. Once I legged the hog and sealed to deal, it was time start checking dogs.
Jefe took a few cuts and Duke's titan vest did its job, vest had a few good cuts but dog was fine.
All dogs are doing good this morning and can't wait to do it again.
Frist hog

JuneBug actually went out behind dogs AND touched a hog? That must have been his BDay present to Andy  Afro
