I carried Hollywood, Brittany, and Boss to work with me today.  Got clocked in at 6 this morning, had this boar caught and in the trailer by about 6:20.

Dogs rolled out and bayed on the other side of a big lake.  Loaded Hank into a boat and made it to the other side and caught another smaller boar.  He loaded in the boat and sat down listening to the bay like hed done it a 1000 times, lol.

Got all the dogs loaded into the boat and headed to another part of the ranch.

Went to a cut bean patch that had a nice set of tracks where a good hog had wondered all around last night. I turned the curs out, Hollywood went south trailing, Brit and Boss went north noses down.  I laughed to myself and wondered who was on the right track and who was back-tracking.  Waited about 20 minutes and Brit came back by going the other way. Too late though, my garmin beeped and showed Hollywood bayed at .73.  Got to him and caught this big sow, 267 lbs.

Hollywood rolled out and we ended up catching another small hog and called it a day. Not too bad  Grin

Getting paid to hog hunt means you're a hog hunting professional. Just saying.

Havent used them in a long time. Dogs get hung up too much and get too hot.  Ive seen them get killed in them just as dead as without.  there was a topic on here awhile back about cds vests snagging on trees and brush, some folks said they didnt have that problem. that very week we filmed a cd trying to get to a hog in the water but was hung up on a tree limb. Just personal preference i suppose, like anything else.

We always wondered the same thing about ol micheal, "why dont he use a catch vest" then you told me this same thing and i thought well my cd usually run hard enough they dont get caught up, WELL wouldnt you know it the next time hunting with him we missed prolly 3 hogs caused he kept getting caught up in briars and it sucked, so went to cut collar only after that and it acutally seemed like the dog was more mobile and didnt get as hot, i actually liked it better myself..But this is just an opinion and preference no right or wrong..
Sorry to steal the thread Micheal...

OH and this just goes to prove i DO work harder than you do...Nice Catch.

Good pictures. Sure is nice to be able to take the time to get some good pictures.  It looks like you could have been hunting in a park.  Good hogs.
