Just wanted to give a public shout out to my buddy Mason for all his help sewing up my dog Marker last night. Not everyone will welcome you to their house at 3-4 am just to help you try and save your dog, and I really appreciate the time, effort and thought. My dog Marker had her gut punctured by a bad hog last night, some of her guts tried to come out but I think we did a good job keeping them wet until we could get her stitch up. Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for her. Shes not looking to good right now but hopefully she pulls through. She is my best strike dog and one gritty SOB. I was getting all sad just thinking about the possibility of not getting to hear her distinctive bark in the woods ever again.  Thanks again Mason, man.. I still smell like a skunk too. |

Vinney I noticed in your post you said her gut was punctured! Are you talking about her skin? or her actual gut? If it is just her skin she will probably be fine but if her gut is punctured that will take surgery, but if Dr. Grant was with you Im sure he told you that. Hope she pulls thru

I don't know who mason is but he sounds like a stand up dude. Its good to have friends like that.

Good luck with your Girl, hope she pulls through for you. If you kept the guts wet and clean before you sewed her up, like you said, she's probably got a great shot if she didn't lose too much blood. Just make sure to keep her well hydrated.
