We turned the dogs loose on a field that had just been sowed with wheat and as soon as they hit the other side of the field they were gone. We got to the otherside and listened and about 5 minutes later we heard my buddies catahoula bitch open up. She had a good bay going and then the group busted. They picked out the wrong boar to mess with and ran him about a 1/4 of a mile. They finally got him stopped and the dogs really started hammering on him. We knew he was gonna be nasty when we got there because we had 8 baydogs on the ground and they hadn't caught yet. We got to the bay and turned the catchdog loose. We figured we were gonna get to see a good fight but the pig was already worn down. The catchdog hit and it was over. We got him tied up and checked the dogs. Josh's Lacy dog was cut right on that artery on her leg and was bleeding bad & his Mtn. Cur had a couple of body cuts. My Blackmouth had a little cut under the jaw and Jake's catahoula had a bad muscle cut on her leg. All the other dogs were fine. We came back and got him and took him to my buddies baypen, he was about 190.
The camera was dead so as soon as I find out how to get pics off my phone Ill post them.

Sounds like a good hunt!

I love it when there's that many dogs on the ground and they're all bayin'.

Hope the dogs heal up quick.
