Looks like a standard 200 pound scale that it is hanging from. It would hold it bottomed out, but would kind of be a moot point.

I aint calling BS on this one but it seems odd to me that knowone knows any details on this monster. Word of hogs this big seem to always travel fast but sometimes record book deer get eaten and the horns thrown away so you never know I guess.

I gotta go into Boggy this Friday. Yea their are some good ones in their for sure. I see some about every time I go in their. I havent seen anything that big but have seen a whole lot of sows and pigs. I got a number to a guy in Boggy over the hunting and biology part. I think I will give him a call about it to see if he has any information. If he does them I will re post it on here.

That hog was killed in Boggy Slough. On the North side off of highway 7. Talked to one of my buddies yesterday that does a lot of stuff in Boggy and he knows the guy that killed it. He is a good hog.

This was posted on the Texas Hunting Forum:
"I got this email today:
Joe,
I was hunting here at Boggy Slough on the evening of October 3 with my daughter, when that big guy stepped out at about 6:30p.m. I’ve never seen a hog that large, and at first thought it was a black bear because of it’s size and long hair. After realizing what it was, and probably 200 pounds larger than the largest hog I’ve ever seen, I actually got pretty excited; almost comparable to buck fever. I first shot him with my deer rifle at about 275 yards, and he went down so I assumed he was finished. I kept my daughter in the stand and went to check to see what in the world I just harvested. Luckily I had my 40 caliber pistol at my side, because he was still quite a bit alive even after a perfect shot from my 308 caliber rifle. He stood up and I shot him about 4-5 more times before he went down for good. My daughter was more excited than I was; I think she’s probably still smiling about that adventure. We had to drag it with our polaris ranger about three miles to our nearest tractor so we could load it and take it in to weigh it. It bottomed out our 300 pound scales with ease, and we are guessing it to weigh 400-500 pounds. I hope this answers some of questions and interest of the photo, and have a blessed day….."
