what is the youngest a dog starts her first heat cycle? got a 6 month old bmcxplott thats been getting a lot of lick action. first female ive ever owned. im sure shes way too young, but would like to know when to expect it.

Somewhere between now and 2 years lol seriously same as women some start a lot sooner than others

thats not good. i was hoping to get the rest of my kennels built before that happened. got a few males on a chain. and a few male neighbor dogs that be sure to start coming around.

My females came in around 6-8 months. whatever ya do don't let her get bred her first cycle. Hip bones aren't fully developed and could have hip problems down the road. That's what the vet has told me.

I have had them come in as early as 6 months and as late as 13 months old.
